Bouygues Schweiz AG
Cross-trade modular construction method
This project has been completed.
Bouygues E&S InTec Switzerland Ltd., Basel region, assembled a mock-up of a cross-trade modular construction method on a scale of 1:1. It is designed for use on building sites.
In the area of building services, the combination of modular planning, integration planning and execution needs to be brought up to date. Coordination between different trades has an enormous impact on the assembly time, energy efficiency and overall quality of construction projects. Building Information Modelling (BIM) provides the kind of flexible building configuration that we are interested in making use of.
For customers with complex projects, Bouygues Energies & Services InTec provides a one-stop shop for cross-trade collaboration. We have the global cross-trade expertise to realise comprehensive, multitec/package solutions. We take on the entire task of coordination and map out a sequential prefabrication process – complete units which incorporate all trades, and with the appropriate insulation. This ensures that the same level of BIM know-how is maintained across all trades. In the Smart City Lab, we assembled a 1:1 scale mock-up of a cross-trade modular construction method which is designed to be implemented at building sites.
