KiubX

KiubX combines great lifestyles with temporary properties

This project has been completed.

KiubX’s new business model quickly breathes new life into vacant areas of cities. In doing so, we relieve the pressure on property markets generated by accelerating urbanisation. With our temporary projects, we set sustainable, flexible living spaces in inspiring surroundings and bring people together. And that makes the digital age that little bit more human. KiubX stands for good growth – for people and cities.

A world in transition

The pace of the fourth industrial revolution is taking work from the physical into the intellectual sphere. Instead of factories, we now need creative spaces. The word around us needs to change faster than before. Moreover, the brains of today’s workforce are looking for meaning, community and a lower footprint rather than seeking to own more. “Living with less” is becoming an accepted way of life. KiubX Pop Up Cities create spaces for a better life amid this transformative change.

Pop Up Cities

KiubX builds temporary settlements on unused urban spaces using sustainable modules we call ‘Kiubs’. So industrial wasteland, parking spaces and flat roofs are quickly being made part of a lively living city. KiubX Pop Up Cities allows people to enjoy privacy at home, while also being part of a community of people working and living together. Everything can be booked via the app – for a weekend, for months or for years. Pop Up Cities therefore offer both an ideal place for digital nomads to live a mobile, temporary and multi-local lifestyle, and an option for local people who want to live a modest life without compromising on comfort.

About KiubX

KiubX is a start-up from Basel committed to developing, building and managing a new form of “agile” real estate to help meet future challenges in urban development. Since early 2020, the team has been working on developing a system of modular buildings and a plan for communal living in the Pop Up Cities. That way, we can draw on the established expertise in construction / real estate, environmental management, sociology and project management.
